We have a member here (adverturedad) who will sell/ship you a seat as well. I believe his website is carseat.se but I am not positive. Check the shopping and deals section, he's listed there.

BRM's husband brought it home for her. A man that buys and illegally imports swedish car seats for his woman. What a guy.

I bought it, he just brought it home from London. Actually it's not illegal to import it, nor are there any duties on imported car seats. It's just not legal to use in a car, and my purpose for owning it is for uh, um educational purposes only, yeah that's it!

And really it's more for my DH's son... I've totally inoculated DH with ERF and car seat safety :evil grin:.

Pictures!

He loves it!

Shoulders are at or above for RF and FF in this seat. He's just below the second slots.

The tethers are in four pieces, two pieces for each side. Two of the pieces are attached to the seat, the other two you attach to your anchor point and then they click in together like a seat belt. I'm really going to have to watch DS as he climbs into his seat. The big green "push" button was all too tempting.

Belt going into the belt path (there are no lock offs, you couldn't even use them in the design.) You can also use a short belt path for RF too.

Braced against the front two seats

There are two different ways to install it RF. On the bottom is a "swing arm" kinda like what's on a Dorel seat that's name escapes me. It can either be fully under the seat to give it more recline or it can be all the way extended over the back of the car's seat. When you install it this way the seat is several inches away from the seat bight. I tried this install first but it was too upright for the TWE's bottom to be flush against the car's seat like it was in the picture. I should have taken pictures at this point, but I didn't, maybe I'll try again.

I really can't explain how much I love this seat! It's narrower on the bottom than the MA/Blvd. The install was super easy after about 5 minutes of playing around with it. The harness adjuster is as smooth as a RA and the crotch buckle is far enough away that there is no digging for it (which is why DH misses the RA over his MA SO MUCH.) It's kinda like if a RN and a RA had a baby (but it's bigger than the two AND lighter at the same time.) I love it so much I think we're going to try and get another one for DH's car for when DS outgrows his 35lb RF MA. I'm thinking that might happen around December but who knows what will be on the market buy then spurred on by the MR65.

Anyway that's for reading my ramblings. I really don't understand why this seat can't be brought to the US. It can be installed with a lap belt only so what's the problem? If anyone from Britax is reading, we want this seat here!!!

I'll try tomorrow to take some pictures of the way different harness.

Does it thread backwards like this?

ryelite-3-1.jpg

(Threadjacking for a brief history lesson)
This was the US Elite - one the first Britax convertibles on the market. Mine expired in 2003. At the time it was introduced (mid/late 90's) it had the unheard of RF weight limit of 33# while most other convertibles stopped at 20/22#. It also had the tallest shell available at the time. The US version had the Britax versa-tether instead of the dual connectors, and did use a chest clip.

Ryan was 12mo, 24#, 31" at the time. This picture was taken shortly before the seat was retired in Nov 2003. I'd love to see it reintroduced to the US market - it's another one that was here before it's time.

Yes it threads that way but the harness pads are the really funky aspect of it.

There is a strip of harness about two feet long and the harness pads are sewn to the ends, on the bottom of the pads so they still make a hole. To use them you feed the pads through the correct slots through the back of the seat and there is a strip of harness material going across horizontally between the harness slots. The regular harness is fed through the pads so there appears to be two layers of harness behind the pads.

I'll just take pictures since clearly that would be worth a thousand words in this case!

Not a threadjack at all! Thanks for that. Yes it totally needs to come back to the US. It looks pretty much like the same seat.

ok, so how is the height on this? My daughter is really long in the torso and is at the limit of her BLVD...from my daughters bum to the top of her head is about 22-23", from her bum to her shoulders is about 14-15" .do you think this would last longer for the height? Does this seat have the same rules for the height RF as the US seats? The 1 inch below the shell? I really like it and was going to go with the TF, but my daughter just hit 29lbs and doesn't seem to be slowing down..and is getting taller.

Is this installed in a corolla? Your interior and exterior matches my 07 corolla le.:D Do you think that this would fit outboard?

Heightwise mine was about the same as a Marathon, if not a scosh shorter. But if I'm not mistaken the European seat follows different rules for RF height limits.

I think the two way measures about the same as a marathon, but I know my kid fits with a TON more room in the TW vs the MA. And the rule is the tips of the ears can't go over the top of the shell, so that gives you a lot more height room to play with than the 1" rule.
