Infant seat with best head and neck support?

Hi and thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

My newborn baby girl has issues with low tone, and I'd like to find the seat with the very best head and neck support. I'd prefer a seat with a higher weight limit as well.

I don't want the Britax (just too huge), so what would all of you experts recommend?

Thanks much!! :)

Are you wanting an infant seat or a convertible seat? If an infant seat, the Chicco Keyfit has wonderful head support. It also has a body support up to 11lbs. For a convertible, possibly the Radian XT or the True Fit would be good options. The TF has really nice infant padding. The TF, though, is actually a bit bulkier than the Britax seats. Oh, maybe the Triumph Advance Premiere. I think it has some really nice body supports in it.

I'll also say the Chicco Keyfit30 if you want an infant seat. The head support and the newborn body insert are great!

When you say you don't want a Britax do you mean you don't want a Britax convertible? Or the Britax infant seat?

I mean the Britax infant seat (the Companion I think?). Otherwise I love Britax seats.

I had a seat for this baby that I'd used with a previous child but it just won't work.

Thank you all so much for the Keyfit recs! It wouldn't have been my first choice (fabric seems like it will get too hot) but things have changed so it's a necessity for now.

the extra pads (not the headrest) are only good for up to 11lbs on the keyfit, so I'd also try her in some of the Graco safeseat 1 and Graco Snugride 32 seats.

namely, the ones with added support, like the safeseat in Gianni or Legacy

In my experience, the True Fit does not have very good head and neck support.
