Highback Booster Help

My 5y 8mo 45in 45lb girl with Chiari and hypotonia has outgrown her Nuna Rava in FF mode.

I just moved her to a Chicco MyFit Zip (Base is on Recline 3) in my 2017 Nissan Murano and she is very happy. She needs LOTS of padding and torso support.

Problem: I am struggling to find a replacement seat for the Rava (FF in Recline 2) to put in my mother’s car (2014 Chrysler Town and Country). She rides in 2nd row passenger captains chair. It’s a stow and go seat so the headrest is not removable. I tried installing the MyFit to see if it would work but was unsuccessful. With the headrest up, it touches the MyFit which I know is a no no. I tried installing the MyFit with the headrest down but cannot get the MyFit tight enough to where it moves less than 1 inch.

Is there another convertible high back booster with a recline and ample padding that will work in the Town and Country?

She will be in a 5pt harness for the foreseeable future. I know that Graco Nautilus Snuglock can be installed successfully but hoping for something else. She rides in a Graco Nautilus 65 in my aunt’s car for occasional school drop offs and pick ups (options were very limited because it is a Ford Explorer with inflatable seatbelts). She complains about it’s lack of padding for longer rides.

If the harness slots on the Nuna Exec went higher, I would splurge for it but my understanding is that they are the same as the Rava.

Unfortunately, Graco has been hit hard by supply issues and their SnugLock seats are gone everywhere. I'd suggest a Tranzitions SnugLock, but it's out of stock everywhere and lightly padded :(.

One trick you can try with the MyFit if you didn't is to recline the MyFit before installing it. Tighten the seat belt as much as you can, then put the MyFit back into the recline position you want. This is a Chicco-approved method. Another one you can try is to recline the vehicle seat, install the carseat, then put the vehicle seat back upright. That last trick is more of a last-resort type trick though.

Other options include the Chicco OneFit (https://amzn.to/35lvTP4) and Graco 4Ever (https://amzn.to/2GWDLIt). These are all-in-one seats, so they RF as well, which you don't need, but sometimes you need a carseat that fits the vehicle seat more than you need a FF-only carseat, KWIM? These are both well-padded carseats, with the Chicco probably being slightly more padded.
